I am a final-year Ph.D. student at the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Prof. Mirella Lapata. I work on Natural Language Processing and AI, developing systems with advanced reasoning capabilities that can handle real-world complexity: recognizing ambiguity, generating diverse interpretations, and adapting to language variation.
I am particularly interested in semantic parsing and code generation tasks that require complex multi-step reasoning, especially text-to-SQL: generating executable database queries from natural language instructions. Through this work, I address key challenges in generalization, explainability, and handling diverse user perspectives in AI systems.
