I am a final-year Ph.D. student at the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Prof. Mirella Lapata. I work on Natural Language Processing and Understanding, with a focus on building AI systems that can reason about user requests in a more human-like way: recognizing uncertainty and ambiguity, offering alternatives, and adapting to the rich variety of human expression.
My primary research area is text-to-SQL semantic parsing: generating executable database queries from natural language instructions. Through this domain, I explore how to improve generalization, interpretability and user interaction in AI.
